This is Ginger, from Michael and Auriea's upcoming game 'The Path'.I was asked to choose one of the character girls from their game to draw, and I chose Ginger - who seemed wilder, fun loving and more than a little brave.

The duo are also the minds behind the awesome 'The Endless Forest' 'game'. I say game in inverted commas because it really pushes the boundaries of 'online gaming'.. where you basically play a deer in an edless forest... there's no words, no objectives.. you get to communicate just by dancing with other dear, and frolicking.. you cannot even name yourself you just get a symbol between your antlers.
I haven't played 'the path' yet... but I know to expect 'unconventional' from this pair! Check out the website link

There's a group out there called the Mystery Kids. Β The core members are Coraline Jones (from Coraline), Dipper and Mabel Pines (from Gravity Falls), Norman Babacock (from Paranorman), and Dib (from Invader Zim). Β Sometimes Wybie Lovat (from Coraline) or Raz (from Psychonaunts) are there as well, but it's mainly those five. Β I bring this up because I think Ginger Red would be a great fit for that group. Β After what she went through in The Path, she would probably be happy to only have to minimally conform to traditional feminine roles.
That is the case if I were to assume that the girl in the red dress represented conforming to those feminine roles. Β I have heard comparisons to Ginger getting her first period although why would Ginger be happy about that?

This is absolutely amazing.The style and everything helps capture the essence of Ginger.Do you know if they plan on making The Path 2 or a similar game that is tied in with it?Also I wrote a fanfic about The Path and Sonic.Ginger and Sonic are the main characters if you are interested in reading it.Hope Ya have agreat one.Peace.

The Path is the most artistic game I've ever played, and I adore it. Soothing and beautiful and so symbolic I'm STILL not entirely sure of everything that went on.
And how can you get more artistic than a game where the developer's website lies to you? Horror game my butt. Robin's the only one who even looks like she dies. Anyway, none of them die because they're all the same girl.
...it's that kind of game, where you can argue stuff like that. Thank you for reminding me of it with art!

I had the game. I played Ruby and Carmen then I lost my patience...don't get me wrong, the Path is a great game, but it does require a lot of patience...which I don't always have.

You're welcome. I was going to play it, but I can't really download things onto my Dad's computer, and I'm not terribly interested in horror games, I disturb easily.

Oh no then it might disturb you! I am also very impressionable but only when it comes to blood and scary surprises... The Path's creepyness is Burtonesque, it's not really scary..

Yeah, that's what I was rather worried about. Blood and gore disturb me more than anything though, and I heard that something involving Carmen was the only really graphic part... I really am not sure, I've been debating with myself about it for some time now.

Oh no.... Carmen isn't graphic. It is just 'implied' you don't actually see anything.. and if a child watches it with you they won't get what is going on! It's THAT vague!
