you make the meaning to the series yourself. It is pretty obvious what I'm trying to portray in this series, but everyone can relate to them in a different way.I will take better photos of these one day.

I'll agree with an above comment, and state that this series does have the feel of the imagry in Tool's 'Prison Sex' video
It also is reminescant of some of the animations found in Pink Floyd's 'The Wall'.
These are two of the higer compliments I can think of, considering I am quite fanatic about both videos.

I got a copy of that, and three other music videos with the CD "Dissectional", here in the states.
I'm not sure whether or not they offered it in Oz or not. The CD's not really worth the price they wanted for it, being a compilation of live songs, mostly, but by now you might be able to find a copy cheaper than I settled for.
There's nothing like having the double threat of good taste and talent.
Too bad I only got one.

powerful work. its scaring me just looking at it. it reminds me of a dream i had where a cat was eating my head (i never knew you could feel pain in dreams before then). I like the way that altho its a barren landscape you still get the feeling that theres nowhere to run.

Someone asked me where I got the idea from and the only thing I could say back to them is that it's a feeling. I just painted a feeling...
Do you mean a cat as in... a domesticated cat, or a wild cat..? I'm having these weird pictures in my head

this series caught my eye mostly because the premise and almost the entire look of it relates a lot to the Tool video "Prison Sex". It's a good looking set of pieces.

These look really different for you in contrast to your excellent realistic landscapes ..
Very interesting... you seem to have given it some wonderful texture which is hard to discern at this size...so i vote for better pictures too

aw thank you... I wanted to do something different. As much as I enjoyed hanging the landscape on my wall and saying it's cool that I painted that...
I have alot of ideas that I want to put on canvas... so this is a starting point.
The texture was really the main part of the project... it's a modelling compound that you smear on the canvas and work into it with paint and what not, so it was really fun. I'd like to work on them more though, especially the little figure 'cause he's a bit bright on the last and so on.
Better shots are coming soon... you think make the pics a bit larger aswell?

Personally i always suggest larger without heavier....im at a 1600 res and that size it is not even as big as full average greeting card...
i think the standard useage for res as the majority of pooter users has developed is 1024 X 768 these days ...maybe even 1152... I think you have to go for the majority that still allows for the amount of detail you choose to reveal
