Description
One of the two companion pieces for my Medea drawing: www.deviantart.com/deviation/1…Hyacinthus was Apollo's lover who was killed as a result of a tragic mishap involving a discus. (Ouch.) Out of his blood sprung the flower, which was called, of course, Hyacinth.
Pencil, gold paint pen, gel pen, Tria marker and Phtoshop for enhancing the gold).

Oh dear god or gods in heaven this is positively, absolutely, breathtakingly BEAUTIFUUUUL! The art style reminds me of the covers for xxxHOliC, probably due to the eye and the abstract patterns and, of course, the vast amount of ink. I enjoyed this very much, as I enjoy the legend very much as well. (Ouch indeed.) Thank you so much!

I really like this, you used the gold really well, and in an original way. The low use of bright colours gives this s sort of cold feel. Once again, I can imagine how lovely this must look in real life, with all that vibrant gold.

GORGEOUS!! This is so ornate, so lovely, so detailed. It reminds me of Klimt's works, especially in his robe. I so love all the meaning you put into your drawings, and especially drawing from myth, it's such a rich, rich tapestry of images to draw from (literally!) and you've done an amazing job. I especially adore the touch of the weeping sun (representing Apollo, of couse) - beautiful, painful expression on Hyacinthus' face.

*stares*... I just keep looking at all your art.. and it's amazing. You have such a unique sense of style and design. The way everything comes together is so well thought out and.. your grasp of different medias boggles my mind.. BOGGLES I SAY.. O_o
