Voila, a new matte painting. I am really having a lot of fun with those, and since so many of you liked my Remnants of the past , I figured I'd make another one. Actually this started out as a practice, as so many of my pieces, but then I decided to take it further, and I quite like the result.
However, please do yourself a favour, and, if you somehow can, watch this against a dark background, dim the lights or whatever. the bright background of dA just doesn't do it justice, it makes it look too dark and the details really suffer.

Unlike Remnants of the past this one is mostly painted, aside from one subtle texture, THIS is the only stock photo that I used in this piece, the rest is entirely painted.
