If I may, maybe the crystal could change his appearance (color, light)because of the energy ?? In natural form it's blue and glows green-blue light, when touched by a living creature it gets rainbow colors and green-blue light, and when Crystal activates her powers it glows in multicolor ?? Just a random idea since the three options in showing the crystal re nice ^^

Hmmm...that could work.
Seems like it glows multi-colored when she uses her mutant power.
Maybe it turns blue-green when she's using her magical ability?

- blue crystal + rainbow light = using mutant powers (kick, rock hands)

-blue crystal + green-blue light = shooting energy crystals
