My friend told me to try something different, use my imagination. So I did. I hope he's happy. This is definitely not my usual type of sketch.charcoal and 4b pencil on bristol paper

very nice, what makes the subject unsettling is the crooked neck at the uncomfortable angle, like the hands and feet, well done!

This is very unsettling, it does have a slightly menacing feel to it, and yet the creature seems underformed... like it should be harmless.

Wow this is great! I think the overall composition is interesting, it contributes to the queer effect of the whole thing. Or at least that's what I pulled out of it. So keep it up! Your friend had a good suggestion!

I was really rather proud of the shading on the face. I probably could have done better on the feet, but I couldn't have cut them off or the tree would have died...
