Bio:  For all extensive purposes, Mira was basically your average run-of-the-mill teenager.

It’d been only 4 months since her high-school graduation, and already she was feeling the weight of her mom’s encouragements weighing down on her. After all, attending the University of Yorkshire in London was all her mom and her talked about since she was a freshman. She studied hard; got good grades, worked a part-time job after school and applied for every available scholarship… All that remained was getting accepted.

But one night, on her way home from her job at the local convenience store, she was blindsided by a stranger; a hooded figure who tried to steal a necklace from her chest. Unwilling to part with the precious family heirloom left to her by her late father, Mira fought back and tried to run, but the stranger was too strong and easily over-powered her. Mira thought she was done for and braced for whatever was to come – but she never could have prepared herself for what happened next.

A massive, ominous creature that glowed of green slammed into the earth blowing the stranger back. Panicked, and in shock she looked up to see a dark, boney creature looming over her body that now hugged the pavement. She thought for sure this nightmarish scenario was the end for her…but then, as the creature lowered its head and released an menacing growl to the hooded fiend, she realized that the mighty beast was not going to kill her – but instead - that it was protecting her.

Its fiery green eyes fixated on hers – and suddenly a voice in her mind that was not her own spoke.

“At last – Chosen One – I have found you.”

Quotes:

"Awww – what’s the matter big boy? Necromancer got your tongue?"

"Seriously, do I have the word ‘GULLIBLE’ written on my forehead?!"

"Hey – tall, dark and undead; in order to insult me, I must first value your opinion. Nice try though.”

"I’m really sorry I hurt your feelings when I called you stupid…I mean, I thought you already knew."

"For someone who doesn’t have any skin or organs, you’ve somehow managed to have a heart.”

“Other people see darkness where I see light; and to me, you’re the sunshine that makes my day."

------

So...there it is ladies and gents – the three main characters to my story That I’m seriously still trying to figure out a title for… If you have any questions about the characters or would just like to know more – please don’t hesitate to ask. I’d be more than happy to explain.

All other characters relating to this one can be found here:

**UPDATE: 3.29.2018**

Just thought I should add this info to give you better understanding about Mira’s Amulet.

The amulet that Mira wears is a sacred relic that has been passed down in her family to the first born of the eldest child with every new generation. However, for Mira it means far more to her than being just an heirloom – it, along with a pair of old army boots were the last gifts she’d ever receive from her father before he was deployed overseas and killed by an IED.

The amulet, known also as ‘Crista Virtutibus’ or ‘Virtues Crest’ signifies the 7 Virtues of man - the 7 pillars upon which the bearer must stand to truly unlock their full potential:

Prudence – To find the good in every situation and choose to follow though sincerely and with resolve.

Justice – To give both the higher power you believe in as well as those around you everything they deserve.

Fortitude - To find the strength to resist temptation, to overcome obstacles and conquer fears.

Temperance -  To find balance in the use of created things, and to use them in moderation and only for good.

Hope - To desire for a place among higher beings, and placing your trust in deities deemed worthy.

Charity - To love your savior, whomever they’d be above all other things, and a neighbor as ourselves.

And the very core, Faith - To not only believe in a higher power and the teachings that follow, but to have faith in the goodness of your fellow man. To believe not in yourself – but in those who believe in you.

All 7 named virtues – along with an ancient, mystical force lend their power to the bearer and allow him or her to manifest an ancient sword. The sword – a truly mysterious instrument capable of both spectacular creation as well as devastating destruction - takes on the appearance of whatever the bearer pictures it to be - baring that it maintains some similarities to the amulet. Thus it can take on several million different kinds of variations.

(But - considering the bearer – Mira - pals around with an un-dead dragon, it's only natural that it takes on a more, eerie appearance. )

It's also known as 'The Sage's Sword', 'The Magia Blade' or 'Quod Draco cum priuatim confessi est scriptor' (Latin for 'The Dragon's Talon') - depending on which ancient script you're reading from.

That sword is amazing. *o* I really love this story concept of yours. If it were currently a comic or novel, I'd buy and read it in an instant. Plus, I love her quotes, especially the third and fourth ones. XD

Yeah, and it took an amazingly long time to settle on a design I actually liked! XD
But believe it or not - I have actually started typing this story concept out as an actual, legitimate story. Grant it - it's rough, and I'm still working out the plot outline and such...but just with what I have so far - I'm feeling very confident that it may actually turn out to be a good read. True, maybe I'm being a little too optimistic for my own good - but one can hope that their ideas have potential, right?

Of course! That's great! I hope you end up finishing it, 'cuz I sure want to read it. xD

One thing I want to mention, and I understand that it's part of your style but I thought I'd put it forward regardless, is your extreme symmetry is almost all your work. It's, of course, important to have things match up, and for transformers is it is not as noticeable, but because everything feels so pasted and almost mirrored, a lot of the character and the softer "Human" feeling is lost. And that's very important, I'd suggest depending less upon it, and using it less, it'll really enhance your work. Good luck!

MessyArtwok In reply to SkyroreDraws [2018-03-29 14:04:06 +0000 UTC]

No, I totally understand what your saying; and usually for a human character I would not mirror most aspects being as naturally we are not symmetrical - but my thoughts were really since this is only intended as a reference, that it wouldn't need what you'd typically want to see. Plus - I'll be the first to admit that drawing humans is not really my strongest area of expertise.

Nonetheless – I wanted to give a fairly-usable representation of the character I had in mind. Grant it, she still needs a lot of work…and I’ll more than likely make an attempt at a re-draw…but for the moment. I’m confident that this will – at the very least – give interested parties a better idea of the character I see when talking about Mira. But seriously - thank you for some great input that I can use in improving my more 'human' characters. I really appreciate the feedback! =]

You can still make a really good reference without the extreme symmetry, its just it makes your work come out flat and not as full of life as they could be. Even for the Transformers characters, please consider it, it'll help your drawings improve!

Man I want that sword. It's looking so sweet. ;v;
Mira herself is a total cutie. One that packs some punch when she wants to but isn't too rough to be unlikable. Hey- I hope to see more of her soon.

Fun Fact for you: The sword actually takes on the appearance of whatever the bearer pictures it to be - baring that it maintains some similarities to the amulet, so it can actually take on several million different kinds of variations. So considering Mira pals around with an un-dead dragon, it's only natural that it takes on a more, eerie appearance. It's also known as 'The Sage's Sword', 'The Magia Blade' or 'Quod Draco cum priuatim confessi est scriptor' (Latin for 'The Dragon's Talon') - depending on which ancient script you're reading from.

Now, as for Mira herself - I'm totally stoked that you like her! ^^ Grant it, her design needs some improving because I'm absolutely TERRIBLE at drawing humans... but = at least I can say I have a start, right?
And no worries - as soon as I finish up the remaining commissions I need to get done - I will definitely be making some art with all these characters soon!

Now I want that thing even more. Man I wish magic could be real.....

Her design is basic but as you know that doesn't have to be bad. It's a realistic design that I could see on someone next door, which is awesome. I might call her freakles or dotty nose - even though I think moles are cute.

As for the art, chill. I've got that covered. ;D

You and me both. >.> Maybe then some of life's problems could feel just a bit smaller.

And how did you know that Kage's nickname for Mira was "Freckles"?? XD
Then again...so is "Pipsqueak" and "Fleshy". ;u;

And what do you mean when you say "I've got that covered"??? What kind of shenanigans are you up to?
