First I think breaking his neck is pretty small for what he has done. And two, I dont really know what to say about stare flare...is this transformation permenant? I know he took changling magic but is it corrupting him or something, because its been progressivly changing him through the comic since his first reveal when he impersonated buckshot.

Also, about the 'breaking his neck' thing: Remember, back in the day, Starflare was a well-mannered Professor in Canterlot; one that owed his career to Princess Celestia. Even at this point; after all the atrocities he was forced to witness and/or commit, it would have still been out of character for him to make any threats of a more graphic variety than 'I'm going to break your neck'. Now, if he were more like, say, Rainbow Dash...

Conceptually, it's to give him extra advantages without the added bulk of his monster form (thicker hide, wings, tentacle-tail).Β On a scale of drawing, it just makes things slightly easier on me. xD

Adding tentacles, fangs, and all sorts things to a pony somehow makes your life easier?

So adding those things on, ex. Stareflare make it easier, since all you have to do is make him a dark black or similar shade on some panels if not more? Makes sense I guess, probably a huge time saver. I may not be able to draw but I know what someone has to go through when makeing stuff like this, sorta.

This is a cool scene, but why is Harvest just sitting there? Is he waiting for Red Eclipse to happen, or did he know they were coming for him? Maybe both?

Where in the world did he find those stendards with his cutie mark on it? Did he knit them himself while the Red Sun was getting in gear? He did say he had done a little of everything during his thousand years... he might have been a seamstress once. Or an expert in knitting.
