Description
I made these out of Native Beech, Apple and Birch. Finally, I found a use for some of the smaller hardwood samples I have lying around. Now I just need to drill a hole in the ends and find a way to hold the nib secure.Related content

Pens are a great way to spend leftover wood.
I am curious, how do you you intend to cut the wood so that the nibs are secure? The plastic pen I have for my nibs look nigh impossible to cut whole and successfully.

I'm thinking of drilling a hole to the outer diameter and then drilling a smaller hole deeper at the interior diameter. Then I'll epoxy in a plug. If it doesn't hold secure then I'll just epoxy in the nib and have a disposable pen/scratchboard tool lol.

My thoughts were similar, except that you may want to turn a custom plug for size.
Another thought is that it may be possible to hold the tip of the pen in small jaws, and use a custom tool to turn the holder. The problem is that you would need a tool made of a paper clip, in the shape of a parting tool, and sharpening would be very hard.
