Description
Third in a series of drawings of Princess Celestia being a mother to a human child.
while thinking of many things mothers do with babies that are cute, This came to mind.
Celstia feeding the baby..uhh, 'baby food' and probably doing the Equestria version of "Here comes the AIRPLANE.."
at the age the baby is, he isn't quite ready for solid foods yet.
Though he eventually will be, which will pose quite a problem as Humans are omnivores.
and, unlike the herbivorous equines..he HAS to eat meat at some point
(he may eat vegetables and fruit like ponies can, but let's hope Celestia never tries to feed him Grass or Hay.)
Note: I'm not all that good at drawing babies.
So, apologies if the "baby" here looks older than he should be.

I figured she would be.
the series portrays her as Kind, Compassionate and Understanding.
already being a mother-like figure to Twilight Sparkle.
So, it stands to reason she would be very motherly towards a baby..even if it said baby is a species unknown to even Celestia herself.
and, given who Celestia is, I imagine the baby would be well taken care of.

Yeah. And I love the concept of human and anthro relationships, so unique.

Well, technically this isn't "Anthro", as Celestia has the body type of a regular horse (Anthros are humanoid animals)
So, this is pretty much the same as The Jungle Book, only with Horses rather than Wolves.
Still..UNIQUE.

But while she must keep this a secret, it is an accomplishment, and a responsibility she has taken, that is like no other she has done before.

So true. there can be no greater responsibility.
but, while it will be a difficult one..in the end, it is a rewarding one.
so long as she sees that smile on his tiny face..the hardship doesn't seem so hard.
It will REALLY be worth it once the boy grows up, and says: "I love you, mom" for the first time.
bet THAT will make Tia a happy pony.

Tia is Celestia's nickname ("CelesTIA") only her mother, sister and closest friends ever call her that.
on a side note, Luna is often called "Lulu"

In fact, "Tia" is the name used for Celestia's younger "filly" self.
if you ever searched [MLP Tia], most of your results would be Celestia as a Filly
(in which her mane was all pink, nearly making her resemble Pinkie Pie in that sense.)
as for other characters with nicknames, Twilight is often called "Twi" (by Applejack, mostly)
Rainbow Dash is called "RD" and "Dashie"
Applejack is often called "AJ"
Rarity is called "Rare", and Fluttershy "Flutters"
some even call Chrysalis "Chrissy", and Discord "Dizzy"

Personally..no.
but, the whole concept is based on these two stories on FIMFiction, in which Celestia adopted a human as her son.
for the most part, the child featured here has a backstory akin to 'Prince Onyx'
where he somehow was transported from Earth to Equestria when a newborn, and found by Celestia one night.
despite being different (being human, his species is alien to ponies and other creatures) Celestia fell in love with the child.
and, took him in as his very presence in her life made the pain and guilt of her sister's banishment hurt less.
Not sure if I will make this my own..or, keep considering it fanart of somebody else's work.
nut, I am tempted to do some short stories detailing Celestia's motherhood trials.
