WARNING: BIG SIZE IS BIG!It's not THAT big, but I thought it was best to warn you. ^_^ I used to doodle all the time in high school. Now that I work full time, I hardly have time to doodle. Just sketch...whatever. When I sit down to draw I almost always have a goal, a mission... a 'set thing to accomplish' in mind. I rarely let the pencil flow and let...whatever...come out. I miss it. But, I was watching Gothica (good movie!
) today and sketched while I watched. This is the result. I don't post stuff like this regularly, but.. gotta keep trying new things. Lots of very rough stuff here. Just thought I would share. Pencil

Not that big? My 24" monitor begged for mercy after it tried (and failed) to display this image full sized. I love sketches. They seem to show a lot more of what's in the artist's head than finished paintings do because there's no revision, no second-guessing of what people will want to see or what others might like more. They don't have as much of what the *artist* wants in them either. But sometimes it's better to see the origin of art as well as the finished product.

Haha! I'm sorry your monitor begged for mercy, and hopefully you were able to see the image eventually. ^_^ I agree. Rough sketches are very cool to look at since they show a lot more constuction lines, unfinished works and so on. They seem to have a lot more energy than finished works to me as well. I (as well as many other artists) don't like to show them too often because it's like someone looking at us in our underwear. We're not quite ready to be seen! I'll show stuff like this every once in a while... but not too often

Thanks! Great! I was thinking about the design, but not having anything substantial. I did a sun, moon, ying/yang symbol. I was looking for something that split into two parts and is incomplete wihtout the other half. Like scissors... but scissors aren't romantic. My thoughts weren't very sucessful here. (Don't worry about my sketches). I'm glad you found the design.
