Description Hmm, what's that tile doing in the julia flame?

Made with an alpha version of `JoelFaber 's next apophysis hack. The tile you see here, as with the ying-yang in [link] is actually from an image file that was loaded into apophysis. Fun stuff i tell you

Head over to his page and tell to not sleep for a few days so he can finish it.

ONCE
THERE
WAS
A
LITTLE
GIRL
CALLED
CLARISSA,
SHE
WAS
10
YEARS
OLD
AND
SHE
LIVED
IN
A
MENTAL
HOSPITAL,
BEACUSE
SHE
KILLED
HER
MUM
AND
DAD.

SHE
GOT
SO
BAD
SHE
STARTED
TO
KILL
ALL
THE
STAFF
IN
THE
HOSPITAL
SO
THE
GOVERMENT
DECIDED
THAT
THE
BEST
IDEA
WAS
TO
GET
RID
OF
HER
SO
THEY
SET
UP
A
SPECIAL
ROOM
TO
KILL
HER,
AS
HUMANE
AS
POSSIBLE
BUT
IT
WENT
RONG
THE
MACHINE
THEY
WERE
USEING
WENT
WRONG.

AND
SHE
WAS
SAT
THERE
IN
AGONY
FOR
HOURS
UNTILL
SHE
FINALLY
DIED.

NOW
EVERY
WEEK
ON
THE
DAY
OF
HER
DEATH
SHE
RETURNS
TO THE
PERSON
THAT
READS
THIS
LETTER,
ON
A
MONDAY
NIGHT
AT
12:00
SHE
KREEPS
INTO
YOUR
ROOM
AND
KILLS
YOU,
BUT
SLOWLY
AND
PAINFULLY
SLOWLY
CUTTING
DIFFRENT
PARTS
OF
UR
BODY
THEN
WATCHES
YOU
BLEED
TO
DEATH
IF
YOU
DONT
SEND
THIS
TO
20
PEOPLE
BY
MIDNIGHT
SHELL
BE
COMEING

YOU!
SEND
IT
SO
SHE
HAS
ANOTHER
LOAD
OF
PEOPLE
TO
GET
AND
FORGETS
ABOUT
YOU
DONT
BELVE ME
HEY?

EXAMPLE
1:
JENNY
DIDNT BELIVE THIS AND DELETED IT WITHOUT EVEN READING THE WHOLE THING! A FEW DAYS LATER ON THE MONDAY NIGHT SHE WAS WOKEN UP BYE LOUDE FOOTSTEPS AND HEAVY BREETHING THERE WAS CLARISSA STANDING THERE WITH A HUGE KNIFE AND WELL JENNY IS HISTORY NOW.

image overlay....very intriguing.

Great bubble work.

it isn't just an image overlay. it is an image variation. images are loaded in a new tab in the editor, and selected as a parameter

hmmm... and how does one 'load another image into Apo'?

I would love to create something that's not so common looking as most of the fractals that come out of Apo (without using other images)

Oh but erh... i like this creation, but i kinda miss the 'straight line' on the left hand side, like there is one on the right hand side

=JoelFaber is working on a version of apophysis that can load images. It isn't finished yet

what do you mean by the 'straight line'?

Croidin In reply to MichaelFaber [2006-08-19 03:45:07 +0000 UTC]

great, i can't wait for that new version to be finished

ughh... me sowwy... that darn DA5 bug while i am using IE... showing the 'full view' and other links over the preview

I noticed as on the preview in my deviantwatch list does show the left hand line

disregard my initial message about it, please? (but please let me know the answer as to 'how do i load a grayscale image into Apo')

Amaaazing! Hope i'm able to create such too. I have both Chaoscope and Apophysis. Still wondering how to create such images as these.

Good show though! ~ Cheers mate!

Great. Better than the other in my opinion (tho they're both great ). I still can't get my Julia flame to warp like everyone else does though? Any advice on which variation to use? Thanks

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MichaelFaber In reply to Silvaris [2006-08-17 01:33:41 +0000 UTC]

the main julia shape is from the julian variation. Not sure what you mean by "Julia flame to warp"

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Silvaris In reply to MichaelFaber [2006-08-17 08:40:09 +0000 UTC]

Well I can never get the edges of the Julia to bend they always stay in the original round shape...

MichaelFaber In reply to Silvaris [2006-08-18 03:44:38 +0000 UTC]

use negative powers in the variables tab

Ah wicked. Never thought off that! Will no doubt spent most of today playing with it, lol Thanks for your help and look forward to seeing many more of your lovely fractals

Oustanding work. The center is perfect. "...Loaded into Apo" Hmmm, is what I think?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MichaelFaber In reply to pajokar [2006-08-17 01:38:36 +0000 UTC]

what are you thinking?

it is along the same lines as 'blur', except where blur is random in any place in a circle, image decides where to transform to based on how bright a pixel is in an image file. this way you can get a greyscale image into apophysis. still have some bugs to work out to get more than one image file to work though.

pajokar In reply to MichaelFaber [2006-08-17 15:47:23 +0000 UTC]

Ok. I thought some kind of layer or mapping with other image a certain zone, in this case the center.

maybe i could suggest the yin yang symbol from the first with the darker purple theme from this one? I think that would be very cool!
