Hi,
I really like your work!
I had a look through your gallery but I have to say that this one is my favorite - the color scheme is really nice. I hope I'll be able to make something like this eventually

1. Why dont you have more tutorials?
2. How do you get such clean lines in your work with Apophysis (I've been having some trouble with that)
3. Amazing as always

Tutorials take quite a bit of work. I'm happy to teach some stuff i have learnt, but i don't find that many apophysis users are at a level of what i would teach.
Thanks for the fav and comment

Well I'd be up for learning more, mainly how you get such clean lines, that seems to be my biggest problem when it comes to Apophysis. Well, aside from getting the transforms to do what I want aside from what comes out via guesswork and luck, lol.

The lighting is perfection. The crisp lines provide great contrast with the soft curves. Beautiful blues and neutrals. This is altogether fabulous.

hmm... hey Michael! so.. you have improved your apo skills (a lot!) I'm seeing there is a lot of new possibilities with the new version.
I think I'm going to do a little research as soon as I have time for Apo. very nice style, I think I can guess how was built part of it ...
I'm not going into details and I hope you don't mind if I reproduce something similar, of course if I find the way out ... I

sigh, when I see such a cool fractal flame, I feel like an absolute beginner.
It has the feel of a modern building. The clarity, the colors, it is so beautiful!

i checked out your gallery, and though you were using apophysis. i didn't know there was a flame editor for macs. have you used apophysis before? do you know how the two programs compare?

Well, the software for mac is pretty new. Gandreas is the creator, he has an account on deviantart as well.
Unfortunately I never used apophysis before, only Gimp and flam3. So I am not sure how the two compare.
In Quadrium | flame you can edit the "triangles", rotate, scale them. You can put the various variations (like linear, diamond) for each flame, but also globally. And there is the capability for mutations, making movies, "tweening" = finding the flame between two flames. And there is also breeding, which can take several different flames, and make a superposition with them. You can take affine flames, bilinear flames, escher flames, and what not.
I think it is pretty much similar to apophysis, but it is not free. And the flames are not saved in open text format, but a propriety one. And when I import the usual .flame or .flam3 into Quadrium, they don't reender exactly the same way, the are distorted by some "lens distortion".
It is a bit difficult to follow Apophysis tutorials, because it's not exactly the same way, but with the help of gandreas I managed to follow a few. Oh, and now there are scripting capabilties in the 1.1 version, and symmetries.
I think that's about sums it up.

thanks for the info. doesn't sound like it is worth all the money, but i guess if you've got a mac, then it might be your best bet for fractals.
