I see this as looking up at the base of some alien/futuristic structure, which is somewhat mushroom-shaped. There are lights placed along the supporting pedestal as well as at strategic areas on the underside of the 'cap' area. Soft lighting makes this appear as in fog or mist, too. Beautifully quiet colors and wonderful flow in the design.
