I see the resembalance to fan2, but sheesh...you're knowledge of the variations is just amazing. Usually when I think of fan2, I think of a normal fractal suddenly being split into a whole bunch of "segments." While this is true, you've managed to tie fan2 in with a stellar spiral shape.

Stars and galaxies...or maybe ice crystals. Either way, the colors are cool and icy-looking and the design of spirals is very nice!
What I really think of is frost on a window, at night, lit by a street lamp.
