Description
So yeah, this spawned from last night when I saw a little tiny spider skitter by on my wall, and I got REALLY spooked for some reason. I don't get it... How can something so small and practically harmless scare the pants off of me? It's just plain stupid.Art © Me, myself, and Moi

I personally think the fear is in the skittering blur that a spider does crawling

Michael doesn't hate spiders, they just make him nervous. I adore spiders, and so do most people I know...arachnophobia is only common in a few parts of the world. Spiders are harmless, beneficial to us, and I think some of the most beautiful of all animals. Nobody should hate them!

I don't get it, why are people so afraid of spiders?
Only becouse some are deadly and/or poisenous doesn't mean all of them are.

I don't get that either. Heck, I still don't get why I get uneasy around them, even though I know they're harmless!

Oh, I wasn't saying the one near YOUR house are harmless. Just the ones other people are more afraid of.
And your consious or onconsious mind can realy screw over what you know or think you know... So if the concious thinks it's dangerious yet than gets convinced that it's not, you're in a state of fear anyway.

Nah bro, spiders aren't that scary. Bees man. Bees, those things can fly, they're like harbingers of destruction and death. Those hellspawns fill me with illogical fear. You can't see me near a bee, if I see/hear one I start breathing fast and running faster to some place with no bees. Also I like the way you've drawn close up of your face.

Funny enough, the only reason a bee/wasp would ever come after you is because of your breath getting faster like that. They think it means you're excited to see them, not because you're afraid, but their little instincts assume you're eager to eat them, their nest and all of their babies.

Even gorillas are scared of spiders, or at least creped out by them; they grimace when they see them. The way that certain bugs move and look seems to just invoke fear from mammals.

I dare you to think this little nubby sad thing is scary
Spiders are terrified of YOU, and very fragile and timid. Almost everything negative about them is exaggerated...none have deadly venom, and they take good care of their babies and even their mates. Even the black widow doesn't really kill people or eat the males, in fact the bigger, stronger female lets the tiny, weak and useless male share her web and they will groom each other like cats

I ended up avoiding my computer for the rest of the day...

They're exaggerated anyway...only one person every 20 years or so ever dies of a black widow, due to severe allergic reactions or heart conditions. Normally, their bite just hurts a lot, but they're very docile and seldom leave their webs, so bites are rare anyhow
