My new digital painting (took quite long, no free time for it). It's rather classical fantasy stuff. Cover for a fantasy book based on character Bivoj from Czech legends. He's kind of a local Conan

Yeah it's interesting, altough I don't know how much you can get in English. But in recent weird tales magazine is a fantasy story by the author (J.Cervenak)im doing this covers for.It's based on East European Mythology as well

I can feel the movement in his body as though they were my own bones, and the lighting brings about a very heroic image.

very painterly style, i would say his figure looks a bit stiff, but there is really no problem with the image. very good work!!
I could only be nitpicky.
I say his right shoulder looks too low and maybe a couple of foliage sillehoutes hanging from the trees above to better frame the character would be an improvement.

Uzasne, skvele barvy, jako ostatne vzdy a Bovij ma zajimavou tvar, zadny typicky hezoun, ale zajimavou a muznou (: A kanec je spravne strasidelne desivy a slintajici, brrr...8D

It's incredibly beautiful, the strokes and lines of color to make up the forest, his outfit still sharp even though it fits with the painted feel. I can't wait to see the tutorial, it's really gorgeous!

Nice painting. I love the textured backgrounds in your pictures, and the lighting too. Do you use 'dodge and burn' for that?

thanks a lot!.I use dodge a little, but just in the layer settings not the actual tool. I don't use burn at all, I don't like it. More answers should be answered by the tutorial for I'm doing. It will be posted here on weekend

The back lighting really drive home the darkness of the characters and scene.....the boars not really a character, but you get what I mean. The tute should be awesome.
