Description
This is a color illustration for a fantasy story with characters from Greek mythology. It will be published in local sci-fi/fantasy mag. It was a faster work than my usual cover stuff.Made from scratch in Photoshop CS3

Thank! I studied industrial design and learned digital painting by myself (with the help of books/mags and internet)

Axe-fighter FTW!
My personal preference for the weapon aside, the picture is amazing--the perspective really makes the axe-warrior look incredibly dangerous, more than enough so to wipe out the advancing (presumably undead) horde. Really an incredible picture!

The contrast in the colors is excellent. Did the axe-fighter get off of the Argo and the dark-colored one get off of the dragon-bone ship? This looks like an epic-battle waiting to happen. Very nice.

yeah it's all from the same story but no the axe fighter wasn't on this ship he was just one the bone ship when he was running through some caves and visited world of the dead, if I remember it correctly. But there was a big epic battle at the end
