Description
This is a color illustration for a fantasy story with characters from Greek mythology. It will be published in local sci-fi/fantasy mag. It was a faster work than my usual cover stuff.Made from scratch in Photoshop CS3

It's like a "300 meets Lord of The Rings" mix! Epic win! ^-^

I like the framing on this one, and the drama in its composition. The somewhat sketchier touch actually works for this piece.

Thanks! I have but I flatten the layers through the process, so I don't have it in layers.

love the use of the limited palette and I really love the roughness of it
makes it far more entertaining to the eye.

Every time I leave a comment for you, its pretty much the same thing. God. How jealous am I of your incredible painting skills? I love the loose and free technique you have here, its something I'm trying to achieve myself. It seems to give the image more life to the scene.

Thanks,I appreciate all the comments . The loose techique is something I like to experiment with recently, I'm planing to experiment more in the future. Although sometimes I'm also thinking to do an image with very smooth technique. My problem is I like too many techniques and themes and don't have enough time to do it all
.
I think most important on the techique is it has to entertain you, creation of an image must be fun, you can feel it from the picture when it's finished.
wish you all the best with your own art and technique

Looks great. The composition and rough work gives it a good energy and movement.
