This is my remake of the original sexiness [link] .For deviantART's 4th birthday I wanted to do something special.

The site has ceased using this image after 4 years.
I don't make art to hang on walls. I make things to be used, worn and fondled. There was no bigger compliment dA could have paid me and no higher personal achievement than to have had this image in use and displayed on aforementioned deviants pages.
I appreciate those years, truly.

I'm really chuffed to have this award, but having the image as a separate deviation is actually really helpful because it can go in my journal and shoutboard for future pimping. Thank you (I know ti was a while now) for making this, it makes it a little bit more special in reception!

So you're responsible for this piece of beauty? I wondered who made it (though in reality I should've known, what with the sexy animation and all).
This is perfect. A great replacement for the original Deviousness graphic. It's the same idea, only more sleek, a little smoother, and more interesting with the animation. Speaking of the animation, it's perfect. Not too flashy, not too boring, but it just adds a little bit more to this image. Plus it's really, really smooth. But I guess we expect that from you, now don't we?

'It's the same idea.'
In fact, I remade it as close as I could line by line before I did any altering to it.
The bevel was something I toiled on for a while. There were many versions before this and I am extremely happy with this one.
I had been working on this before I received it myself.
I am unsure which is the bigger honor.. having received the award, or having my version of it in use.
In the end I think deviantART had given me more than I can ever give back.

I was iffy in the bevel at first.
There exists versions with out it but they were not pursued.

Very nice job! BTW it is not to fast.
I played with it using Ulead Gif Animator 5
I got it down to only 20KB
Heres how:
I used the optimzation Wizard and I lowered the colors to 100 & it still looks the same

I am sure I could get this filesize down to that using my ImageReady CS.
Instead, I chose the emphasis to be on quality.
Settings: Adaptive, 256 Colors, 100% Diffusion Dither, 4 frames, Transparency on, No Transparency Dither, Interlaced, 0% Web Snap
There was going to be frames added to this to slow down the animation and if I had gone that route the filesize would have required me to use 128 colors, no dither and maybe turn on some lossy.

Stupid of me not to have noticed this until now.
I'm absolutely thrilled I found out this was your doing, I had seen people's Deviousness Awards spinning and flashing and I had just assumed it was something the devART staff had implemented with the new skin.. In hindsight I should have guessed it was your work.
The animation, as others have alreayd professed, is no exception to your flawless past works. The circular spinning is not only seamless but somehow calming, you've picked the exact right speed for each revolution. With the quick 'blasts' rippling outwards, the contrasting speed of the circle is curiously balancing.
I see the whole Deviousness 'icon' in a different light now; the slowly turning disc could represent the deviant who received it, and the force moving outward from it might be the positive energy and wonderful qualities he/she possesses, pulsing outward.
The cyclic circle, I see now, possesses something very similar to your Gears; the smaller, inner circle is moving in a direction opposite to the larger one, which gives it a subtle complexity; and it could also be a representation of the idea of "Give and you shall receive", of how on one hand the deviant receives praise and love from outside, and on another transfers that back as these pulses.
This is really something, I haven't been this shaken by a deviation of yours since your Gears-ID.. Fantastic work and a brilliant birthday gift.
