Lolz, thank you.
Yeah, I don't think I'd be brave enough to wear the minidress on its own, lol. The jeans idea is nice :]

LOLZ! Seriously, I was thinking of how I used to like staring at those colored oil/water glass things -you know what I mean? And lava lamps, shaking colored marbles in water, things like that.
What would be funny is like a replica of the dentist's fish tank from Finding Nemo, har har. "OMG I've stepped on Nemo!!"

I really love them both. They are very marketable, and i know i'd stop at any window that had something like this in it! The polka dots are brilliant! I'd love to see an expansion of this line.

I like them both cuz they both have personality...but im not sure if they both work cohesively as in belonging in the same collection/line.

I think that they would...she just hasn't shown the other parts of the line as a whole...you know flowing from green to pink...?

Oh, I could understand that...like, she hasent shown mabye all 10 or 15 of the line to show the transformation/story of the collection. I was just informing cuz I remember I had to design 3 coats in fashion that belonged in the same collection. However...when you only design 3, you have to design all of them in a way were its ONLY a 3 peice collection. Thats why when you go to the store and see "Calvin Clein Collection" and you see about 5 shirts for sale...all 5 go together as if all 5 are the line itself. It just makes it easier on the customer and mass-productive wise, its wiser.

I could already see some relation though with these 2 designs.

Oooh, I see what you mean. I never actually knew that, that's interesting! I've noticed that when I've walked past store windows (especially high end stores) that there are similar pieces, similar colors and styles that really show them being from one line, but it never really registered in my mind, I guess.
Yeah, I was going for the color and decoration repetition, lol. I guess they do look too different.
To make it easier for mass-production wise, do you mean it's easier to make a lot of them if they're similar in shape and style?

ZebrASkin44 In reply to midgetpanda [2006-05-01 23:17:26 +0000 UTC]

yea, exactly. But given the fact that Chris wasn't too aware of this prior, don't worry about it. At least they were meant to belong in the same line.

However, in the design world...if you are introducing 2 or 3 peices from your collection or even 5 to a store, catalog...ect...those peices would correspond as if it were the whole collection. But on the runway, its a totally different story were your peices can tell a story of its own and blend from career wear suits...to extravagant gowns in different detailing, and textiles.

No, i was aware of this. It was just my first opinion taking over. I thaught, and still think that they look cohesive. It's just my opinon. Don't worry about it.
