Michael thinks about it for a moment before shrugging and turning around.

“I think I’m going to go and give that a hard pass,” she says, waving back at them. “I’m not some hero out to save the world. I’m not that good at being a pokemon and I’m definitely not all that good of a trainer. I cannot see any reason why I would be all that important in whatever scheme you have going on. I’ll admit I should have been a bit more careful when I let you see me mid-transition but beyond that simple state I am not special in any regard. Whatever it is you are planning on doing, you’re just going to have to find someone far more capable of pulling it off.”

She starts heading off, keeping an ear tilted in the Xatu’s direction in case they make any action, though considering how quietly they snuck up on them earlier she doubts she would notice. In any event she’s pretty sure that she would likely lose anyway if they got into a fight based on how calmly it regarded them, as if it barely even saw them as being there to begin with. Ryan, on the other hand, refuses to turn his back to the large bird, having to quickly turn his head to keep making sure he’s following Michael.
