Description
This is a final concept based on approx 24 small thumbnails I did of various half breeds of Birds and Insects. Half were insect dominate and the other half were bird dominate. This is obviously an insect dominate version. If I had more time to go back I'd make the wings less flat, cookie cutter, and more soft and flowing.Related content

A modern version of a Chimera mixing the genetics of two different animals, in this case of a distant gap between families. Obviously not the Greek Mythological creature.

Man, I love the naked bird-headedness of this. I assume that the inner mouthpart is a beak, but before I read the desc, I thought it was a little mask face! Great work, again!

Yea, combining the beetle pinchers and a small beak for the mouth. The beak is almost more like an octopus mouth. I'm going to post the two pages of thumbnails when I get a chance.
