Description
There are hints of a lot of different animal anatomy... I thought it would be interesting to have the tail twist and curve so it can curl and create a flicking motion like squirrels do for threat displays/mating ritual behavior. Creature Design Workshop: Alien Anatomy Part 02 is Here!

So cute! That facial variant on the top right: was it inspired by mantises, by any chance?

If you mean Mantids, nope.. it was more subconsciously influenced by deep sea fish, other nocturnal species that have lived their entire lives in the dark and some elements from Chameleon lizards. I had just wanted to play around with some form of tusks but it didn't really fit the purpose or general aesthetics of the creature.

Hmmm...maybe you could have the tusk one as a seperate sub-species that uses the tusks for fighting rivals or aid in feeding or both.

Oh, ok. I just thought the horns on its lower jaw look like those tusk-looking limbs mantises use when they eat. XD

I like the tail flipping idea. I also really enjoy the overall shape of the head, pretty successful design!
