Description
I've been busy work with and then my computer's Harddrive failed on me. So I was unable to get on my computer and get any work done for about a week or more. I took that time to get some personal work done in my sketchbook. All pigment liner pen sketches, no pre-sketching done with pencils. (The only one that had pencil work done first was the obvious "The Mist" inspired winged creature. These don't follow my extremophile work, but I'm heading off into a new personal project that prooves to be promising. Hopefully it will see the light of day and become an Art book at one point, perhaps something more who knows.

Hoping this character is in a game or starts of the idea for a game. Great character. How do you think like this

I feel that when a personal project is being thought up lots of cool stuff happens. From the thought proccess to the creation.
Like your motivated to throw all the cool things you like into it and not have to worry so much about getting a creature/character/enviornment/story to look like a certain something, whereas if you were with a company or some sort. Theres a lead guy to tell you the specifics of most creatures/characters/environments/story that they need.
So much more freedom to take your style in any direction.
My last personal project that I'm still currently working on from time to time has moved my art and ideas in new directions that I didn't know I could do.
Again, you have some real cool spit. Hahaaa. (spit took the place of shit).

Thanks,
Though as it's mentioned in the description. I want to just make it clear that although the design doesn't match the original 100 percent and it was drawn entirely without reference. That the winged creature was drawn and heavily influenced by the creature in "The Mist".

At first I felt a bit disappointed with it, then I watched it a second time, then I decided to buy the directors special edition DVD. I've probably watched it 30 times by now lol.. so it has grown on me and become one of my favorite creature, sci-fi/horror/thriller movies.

Good lol
So I've got one potential buyer so far ^^
We'll see what happens, it could be a year or years down the road. Trying to fit in person project work with paid jobs.

hmmm... looks like some new silicon based lifeforms (excluding the one in the center)?
the creature in the botom left corner with floating body parts looks rather interesting.

Yea, I was transitioning from the silicone life forms.. and started to get into this personal project now. I was doing some new thumbnails (not seen here) and then I did a detailed pigment liner version of one. That ended up leading to the idea for a project. I'm using a few aspects that the silicone based life form sketches contained but the designs for this project I'll be sticking with are going to deal with nature/organic based creatures and a supposed fantasy/sci-fi future.

sounds great! almost like a project I was thinking of starting soon, minus the silicon lifeforms!
I plan to make some speculative concepts of enviornments, creatures, sentients, buildings, and vehicles that somewhat rezemble a twisted and odd version of some fantasy and scifi creatures I've come accross, as well as some of my own strange idas. actualy, mostly just my own ideas...

The silicone based designs and sketches are completely different from this new project I've just begun.

The spider rock is very nice.
A personal project that could turn into a book, or more? Sounds interesting!

Thanks man,
yea.. only problem is "how much of the personal art book work do i want to show" since obviously it would be more beneficial and interesting to potential buyers if it got published having at least 50% never before seen work. I've got the general idea of the project in my head, I've done 4 or so sketchbook pages worth of thumbs and larger sketches for a small portion of the idea. I need to kind of break things down into categories, try and set some schedule/deadline for myself and push to really get this idea down as best as I can. I think visually it would be very interesting. Storyline wise, I haven't written anything, but the general synopsis is something that could make for a fun game vaguely along the lines of shadow of the colossus - but that doesn't really touch the surface of what I have in mind.

Well, I'm very interested in seeing where you take this project. Not revealing most of the work until publication is probably a good idea, though.
