Description
A little fire cracker of an insect. I love alien/insects with a twist. This little guy here emits sparking embers from a prickly back of spikes on its shell. I wanted the face to differ from your average insect so it's mouth is kind of a zipper of teeth in a vertical fashion. It also contains these large round bulbous features "which aren't eyes". They are an extra sensory appendage and then of course a little bioluminescence thrown in on the side of the body for good measure. All in all..some good careless fun.Related content

Thanks. Kinda like venus fly trap meets alien/bulbous bug head.. Almost anything you do that is attached to an insect-like body so long as the head is rather abstract will seem to appear as some sort of bug. We already have soooooo many species of insects that it's hard to really say what's considered alien/fictional.

I just produced some creatures that sort of fit within that realm recently, for a graphic novel project. The designs are a bit of sci-fi alien/horror human/mammal with a slicker alien look.. kind of close to what Sammael in Hellboy looked like to a degree.

The color fade is so gentle and graceful, but the detail and all of the little sharp hook things, just... Lol it's cute, but I know it could totally kick my butt lol

My favourite colours! Anything that goes smoothly from a cyan to a bright orange immediately appeals to me. Not to mention the fact that I love insects, and this is the coolest insect ever.
