Description
A phallic creature concept based off a small thumbnail. There's a youtube time lapse video showing the process. Sometimes it's just fun to create weird, freaky, oddball creatures that aren't plausible or completely functional.Related content

Anyways, it's an awesome picture!
Sorry for sending you three separate posts instead of just one! I don't know why I did that!

Besides, it doesn't even really look that much like a vagina! I can see how you used the concept, but really, that's not the first thing I thought when I saw it.

Anyway .. yea I wasn't exactly going to perfectly paint an exact replica of a V.. lol I think I didn't want to be THAT obvious

I guess it's all in the eye of the beholder...

Yes, it is a weird alien, but in truth, that's only a matter of perspective. We are only relating it to that inappropriately-happy-place-in-between-a-woman's-legs, if you know what I mean. It probably looks at us like as if we are disgustingly-weird!
Know what I mean?

While beautifully done, this remains disturbing on oh-so-many levels
Which is probably what you wanted to express, so well done!

Thanks,
I actually don't do very many disturbing/perverted type creatures because I feel there's not a lot of real thought needed to be put into that kind of stuff. I just figure, it's usually shock value art that gets attention for simply that "shock value" and that anyone can do it to be honest. It' easy to draw something that will make people hate you, cringe, love it, be disgusted but in awe at the same time and it doesn't even need to be painted that well. So I usually try to come up with things that are a little more grounded in reality or at least have a history and background to their design and existence. Though I'm open to all kinds of design.

Wow, thanks for that in-depth response, it's truly much appreciated; most DA artists don't take the time to think too much about what to say as they have simply too many to reply to.
I have to ask though, you say that it's easy to make a work that people will love - but as a concept artist you still have to sell your image, so there's kind of a conflict between what you want and what you have to do, right?
I mean, these are a lot of work, i imagine that you create them for more than just "fun"

I saw that movie..just out of curiosity and was like O_o
I guess it can be found "funny" but I was kinda grossed out by it, definitely a B rated dark comedy.
