Beautiful and controlled piece, Mike.
I think that perhaps the left side foot (in the drawing) could have been drawn on the apex of the roof just to key the viewer into Zorro's power and dominance in every environment; like Tarzan having killed a lion!
Small thing though.
All the best!

Hrm, the smoothness and balance of your lovely grays got hidden beneath some color blotchiness there. He even colored right through the surface of the leaves in the lower left. : p

Ooh, the grays are lovely here, especially around his head. Such a clear pose and design.

Is that the sun/moon behind his head? The main light is coming from somewhere else... Ooh this is going to puzzle me until I can find it in color.

It's the moon.

I left it open since I know Dean White would be handling the color which you can see here:

Ah, thanks!

With the color over it, I can see that the multi-directional lighting you laid down in black and white really adds a sense of atmosphere around the character. Hm... That's a good lesson, I'll have to keep it in mind. : )

Good job mike I like the Rapier you have there. Looks traditional and well drawn. Nice tile work.
