Description A little tribute to the wonderful (and some not so wonderful) mechanoids of the Doctor Who universe. I've tried to include robots from every era of Doctor Who, including a few from spin-off media (the gold coloured robot to the Doctor's top left is from a fantastic comic called 'Junkyard Demon' and the yellow robot top right is from the Sarah Jane Adventures). I couldn't really find anything for the Eighth Doctor though, and I clean forgot to include anything from Matt Smith's era! The Voc robot and K9 are less prominent deliberately-- I felt these would be too obvious in a picture with the theme of Doctor Who robots. Daleks and Cybermen, being cyborgs, have also been left out.

"A little tribute to the wonderful (and some not so wonderful) mechanoids of the Doctor Who universe."

But where are the literal Mechanoids?

Oh, this is frelling brilliant.

Are those tiny little spider-like things the saboteurs from that spaceship early in the David Tennant run that had gathered to watch the Earth die? That was a cool episode.

Maybe the 8th had a robot or two in alternate media?

He must have done... wouldn't have been much use drawing anything from a novel or an audio as nobody would get what story I'm representing, but maybe there was a comic character I could have used. That would still have been almost too obscur though.

Obscure but completist. If you're so worried about not having something from the Mcgann era, just put it in and tell people what it is when they ask. But I get you, don't sweat the small stuff for a guy only really known for one movie and as technically the Doctor who was on duty for the Time War. (heh, maybe someday they should have an episode in the Time War where Mcgann guests...or maybe like a "Three Doctors"/"Two Doctors" situation where he's pulled from the Time War era to sort of explain a bit to what happened prior to his Eccelston regeneration.)

McGann can be tricky. Off the top of my head, I can only think of two robot or psuedorobot people: The androids of Orion (which are made to look human anyway) from the audios, and his era's cybermen in the comics, which are pretty distinctly different-looking and so damn skinny you have to wonder how much organic they have left in them.

No Polyphase Avitron? :c I don't see the Robot from Robot, either...

I spy with my little eye a little spider guy! /shot for rhyme Those spiders were crazy adorable, I'm glad you included them.

Lovely ensemble shot. It looks like they're all lined up for fixing... And the Doctor is perfectly happy to do it He always struck me as an engineer type.

I love it! Nice to see you included the Cleaning Robots from PT. Also from the 7th Doc's era is that sand-covered Robot from GSTG. I never knew what he was for though.

Whatever happened to the Angels from Voyage of the Damned? Or would that be a Tennant too many? Cool stuff, I like this a lot especially the robot from The Robot (think it was called that).
