I didn't think the 3rd Doctor had his hairstyle parted (itΒ was a little more closer to an older Tom Baker's hairstyle especially when he regenerated).
If only we had a Doctor who had a hairstyle closer to say the 5th Doctor's hairstyle regenerated into 1 who had the 11th's Doctor hairstyle, the closest we got to a parted to parted regeneration was the 8th to early War Doctor (as his hair was a 8th Doctor version of the 11th Doctor's style) and 10th to 11th (since most of 10's artwork tends to have his hair parted in some form).

Best Doctor ever, and a proper Silurian. Excellent.

This is so good! It really captures the spirit and aesthetic of Three's era. Splendid, dear fellow.

Very good! Jon Pertwee would be very proud. Time is so cruel...

Great job! It does justice to the spirit of what a Third Doctor adventure was about.
I notice there's a bit of artifacts in your white (I scrolled up and down a few times to make sure my screen wasn't dirty XD).

I know (facepalms). This is an older work, from a less discerning time! Glad you like it though.

I hear ya. I can tell the difference of the quality of my photoshop paint job from past to present. While still not a huge fan of digitally painting my projects, I do from time to time. I'm a traditional media lover really. Looks like you work with a lot of pen as well.

A good tribute to Jon Pertwee's introduction to Doctor Who. Good job.

I saw Pertwee speak at a Dr Who convention about 25 years ago in NYC - yes, I used to go to those things...
Anyway, he was hysterically funny in person. And probably the most unique Doctor. They never really went for the "super agent" vibe again.
I never thought of the hypnotist angle either, but yeah, Dr Orpheus of the Venture Brothers has a distinctly similar vibe.

Nice, very pop-artish...like those TimeView (I think) illustrations of the 70s.
Bright bold colours and images.
Great work.

How the hell did I miss this? I loved the third doctor... I remember watching reruns on the weekends with my brother many years ago... much better than this new rubbish!

If you do you should have the haemovores coming out of the water, that would be awesome.

Sweet, is this the start of a trend, a panel for each season?
I like the Ambassadors and the Silurian especially.

I was considering doing that yes! For the next one, I'm thinking season 26 (the last of the classic series). That had some fantastic monsters like the Destroyer, the Haemovores, the Cheetah People and those giant stick insects in evening wear.

John Pertwee...more proof that you don't need to be an anxy pretty boy to be THE Doctor. (or that you have to travel too far...considering what the Time Lords did to him at that point making him stay on Earth)

Haven't seen much of the Pertwee stuff, but I do recognize those manniquins--they made a comback in the 9th Doctor's first episode as well, if I recall.
Nice work!
