This artwork depicts a weapon which is a part of my sci-fi world's lore. Do not copy the design, use it in your own artworks, or claim it as your own!

Lore and Description:
While Staris is Istarian lead developer of highly advanced and unconventional weaponry that are the weapons of choice of Istarian special and elite units, 3K2 "Remus" by Kaneesian (the second largest Istarian gun manufacturer) is the main "workhorse" of regular Istarian army units. It is a bullpup assault rifle, feeding from a 32 round magazine, that is fairly easy to produce with Istarian advanced machinery and, despite offering nothing special compared to other weapons on the market, is versatile and reliable. The rifle features a series of accesory rails, an adjustable cheekpad and buttplate (which can be lengthened by adding additional spacers, similar to the real-life AW L96 sniper rifle) and a unique ejection system which can be attached to either side and it ejects spent casings into a small chamber before dropping them out through a small opening in the front of the chamber. This way, the hot casings don't fly erratically through the air and pose no danger to surrounding allied troops. The weapon can be fired in semi auto, two-round bursts or full auto. The magazine is made of polymer and it has a transparent window in the front to check the remaining ammunition. An ammunition type loaded to the magazine is usually indicated by a colored tape which wraps around its base - the mag loaded in this particular rifle has a yellow tape, which indicates regular full metal jacket rounds. Other commonly used colors are red for tracer/incendiary rounds, blue for armor-piercing rounds with a hardened core, and purple for training rounds.

Inspiration and Background Information:
When designing this weapon, I looked at various bullpup conversion kits, mainly the ones for M4 rifles, because they often look quite futuristic. However, they are obviously fairly bulky, because they are just parts slapped over the original receiver of the weapon, so I drew this rifle sleeker than these. Another main source of inspiration is the DeserTech MDR - the rear section, the magazine and the ejection system is inspired by that weapon. One might also consider this to be an evolution of my very old "SPEAR-X " design, that I made a long time ago, being unskilled at computer graphics and modelling, so it was all blocky and with weird proportions. I dare to say that this creation is an improvement.
