Make sure that in the small window where you check the boxes to select the different parts the " Parts button" isΒ
not selected (blue) it should be like in the picture.
what that button does is that it only shows the parts you have selected and not the non selected ones, this could be the problem.
if this doesn't fix it please send me a screenshot so I can see, so I can help you better
