You made a good point when you said that the body really does resemble the dummies. I got one a few months ago but I struggle to use it mostly because of my lack of anataomical knowledge but also because I couldn't really see how those stick-like limbs could really looks much like the shapely ones on us humans.
I guess i was maybe relying too much on it but this tutorial/tips page has made me look at Manny (that's his name haha) in a new light, thank you for uploading.

Hahaha, you're welcome! Now you can take Manny a little more seriously, though I would recommend you not to rely only on him. At first I also struggled with my puppet; it was only after some Life Drawing classes, with real models, that I understood my "Manny"

Life classes really scare me. It's not that I'll be drawing these people or objects or whatever, but it's that people would be able to see my drawing and I know that sounds dumb since I do upload my work up here, if I didn't like it then I'd be really off-put! D: Plus my anatomy lets me down. Did you go to classes after you had the basic idea of anatomy down in your head or as you were learning it?
