Description
now.. this is a quite personal piece for me.. It started with a topic from Sketchoholic..'Ghosts' (Daniela Strijleva interview's contest).I was going to create something comedic before but all of sudden memories of my granma came back to me. She passed away quite a while ago but I still remember how devastated i was that time. I tried to pour all my emotion into this one.. which resulted in a really depressing weekend. It was really exhausting both mentally and physically when I did this drawing - the sad music that I listened was making it worse too.
I'm glad to be able to finish it - it's quite a relieve in the end. I miss both my granpa and granma.. I wish that they're both in peace and happy somewhere .. sniff..

My mother, sister and I were there by his side the afternoon my farther died. When he passed I hugged my sister and mother holding them tight and I between the two looked up and smiled through the tears, hoping, believing that he would see my face and would know that we love him and that we would be alright, it was okay for him to let go. To leave the dark place were he was for so long and join the light. That we would always remember, love and cherish his memory till we all meet again someday.

this is a good piece in my opinion because everyone does want there to something after death in one way or another and everyone does experience loss like this. we can easily feel the emotion behind the work and everyone will or will know these feelings at some point in their life.

What an amazing piece. I just can't take my eyes away! I have also lost someone dear not so long ago and I am still in pain although I knew it was inevitable... but you know what? You say it's a sad picture, but to me it's a really comforting one! This is beautiful, thank you, that you shared it with us!

This is the sweetest, most loving, good hearted, profound, moving, and beautiful thing I have seen on deviant art in a long time, and I have seen many wonderful and beautiful works here!
It is unpretentious and sincere, sweet without being mawkish, and filled with a deeply loving spirit.
Truly you have put you heart and soul into this piece and it shows!
I cannot add anything else my friend except that I hope you will continue to create works as loving and deep as this, bravo my friend, bravo!

My own grandmother had passed around two weeks ago and just being at her funeral was a terrible struggle for me... I still suffer from the affects through the last few memories I hold with me now, whether it would cause an artist's block, or crying at night wishing that she was still here with us...
But, everyone has their limits, and passing on is said to be a huge relief onto themselves... Or so I've been told over and over... We just have to strive through this and go on strong knowing that their up their with their own friends and families that have been waiting for them and not be pushed back down to the bottom and sink into a deep depression... They wouldn't want that to happen to us just because their time was up...
But, this is an amazing, beautiful piece you have here... It actually brought tears into my eyes when I had fully downloaded this and gotten a good view... Very touching, emotional, and just very well thought out...
I love it, congrats on the daily deviation as well...
May God be by your side..~

This is a beautiful work of true art! When you realize what's happening (it took me a second) it's a wave of emotion. I absolutely love it and can relate to it, as one of my friends had died a little while ago.

I had tears in my eyes when I saw this.
The man offering flowers is obviously happy to be reunited with his wife, a bond that can't ever really be broken. The joy and serenity of one side is mirrored by the sorrow on the other. That makes this picture so special, and all the emotions you put into this really show.
I also saw the animals behind the bed too. Which got me all teary eyed becasue it reminded me of my dog Kato who I still miss very deeply. And I know that we'll be reunited just like this.
All the loves in our lives, whether they are tow legged or four are in a place free of pain and sorrow.I believe like you do that they wait for us and will welcome us as happily as you pictured it here.

I'm sure they are very happy where they are <:') amazing work, I honestly saw two sides of this, the grief that they no longer will be able to be among us, and the happiness that they're being reunited with someone they lost and going on to be joyful.
A truly inspiring work โฅ
