Description
now.. this is a quite personal piece for me.. It started with a topic from Sketchoholic..'Ghosts' (Daniela Strijleva interview's contest).I was going to create something comedic before but all of sudden memories of my granma came back to me. She passed away quite a while ago but I still remember how devastated i was that time. I tried to pour all my emotion into this one.. which resulted in a really depressing weekend. It was really exhausting both mentally and physically when I did this drawing - the sad music that I listened was making it worse too.
I'm glad to be able to finish it - it's quite a relieve in the end. I miss both my granpa and granma.. I wish that they're both in peace and happy somewhere .. sniff..

almost reminds me of this song;
This world will never be what I expected
And if I don't belong who would have guessed it
I will not leave alone everything that I own
To make you feel like it's not too late, it's never too late
Even if I say it'll be alright
Still I hear you say you want to end your life
Now and again we try to just stay alive
Maybe we'll turn it around 'cause it's not too late
It's never too late
No one will ever see this side reflected
And if there's something wrong who would have guessed it?
And I have left alone everything that I own
To make you feel like it's not too late, it's never too late
Even if I say it'll be alright
Still I hear you say you want to end your life
Now and again we try to just stay alive
Maybe we'll turn it around 'cause it's not too late
It's never too late
The world we knew won't come back
The time we've lost can't get back
The life we had won't be ours again
This world will never be what I expected
And if I don't belong
Even if I say it'll be alright
Still I hear you say you want to end your life
Now and again we try to just stay alive
Maybe we'll turn it around 'cause it's not too late
It's never too late
Maybe we'll turn it around 'cause it's not too late
It's never too late
It's not too late, it's never too late

Aw, you poor thing. I remember when my grandfather passed away I had no emotion. But only due to my lack of knowing him,my mother on the other hand...one day I was playing my video game and I heard a sob,I went down the hallway and I noticed the bathroom door was cracked a little,I peaked in*my mother was washing her face* I saw her face expression and immediately opened the door..."I miss my daddy" she keep saying and I told her" He may be gone physically but not spiritually I squeezed her to with love and gave her a glass of water. I feel your pain. But don't worry they will always be with you and I wish you a very nice day

wow... you know, you made me speechless and close to tears. Just today I visited my grandparents' house, where I hadn't been for over a year - since my granma died. we still haven't sold the flat, so most things are left just the way she put them for the last time. my mother have been many times in this house in the past year, so she somehow got used to it, but I have never been there without my granma around. it was one of the most depressing expreriences in my life.
but now, when I saw your picture - I felt better. this drawing is so full of hope and 'better tomorrow', I just can't stop looking at it. so, so amazing and cheering up. thank you.

This is amazing. I'm one of the many who had watery eyes.
Lovely take on such a situation.

Wow. I saw this and teared up quite a bit. I also recently lost my grandmother, so this really...hit home. She was so involved with my life, that when she passed I was too busy being sad to think that she's being welcomed by family and friends now. But this picture really helped me see that. Thank you. I think this is the first piece I have ever seen that has touched me so deeply. Damn, you made me cry, haha.
Anyway! I really love the color and the style. It looks like a style that would be used for something more lighthearted and innocent, yet the actual subject matter isn't. I don't know how to explain it, but to me it adds to the impact more.
Fantastic job.

I can only say you have used your skills in drawing to print a lot of our biggest sadness and a lot of our high hopes. I have faced moments like those, not with my own grandpas, but with a close friend's grandmother. Its amazing how you have 'pierced the veil' to show both sides of the story. How you managed to transform an incredibly sad moment into a moment of intense joy.
I couldn't help to feel moved because you included the pets in there. I have lost my dear dog morgana not so long time ago, and it still hurts. This picture is a light in the way. I think you have connected with hearts all over the world, regardless of culture, religion or beliefs.
A masterpiece that shaked my emotions.

We can hardly hold the tears, looking at your work and reading the signature to it ...
Exactly this picture is before our eyes, when we think about ... how they are out there ...?
We are sure all our loved ones and pets who went there, are all right ...

When my grandpa died... I haven't cried about him yet, though I've cried about other things, and I feel bad about that too, not only that he's dead I've tried to cry for him many times to end the feeling of guilt I have sometimes, but I still haven't made it. But this picture was a close one, so I must thank you for that... but also because I feel that someone understands me now. Thankyou, very much

Please don't be upset about not crying for him. D: People can be grieved about something and not cry.

Yeah, I should think like that, even though it would feel good to cry at least a bit. But I've been thinking a lot of him ever since he died, like that our faces (when he were as old as me) look almost the same. It's pretty nice to know something I have very much in common in him

This made my heart sink to my feet. My grandmother passed away last summer and this was exactly how I was picturing her going.. With my grandfather and her whole family just waiting there for her, their arms stretched out welcoming her. All of them happy as she left us behind grieving her death..
I love this piece so much.
