This episode was HILARIOUS. I know some people probably didn't like the musical number at the end, but the absurdity of it was just amazing, and they already hinted at it with the Anything You Can Do I Can Do Better song riff between AP-5 and Chopper. Not much to say for the episode in general, droid episodes will never be our favorites, but Hera had a chance to be awesome, and that's what I focused on. Only Hera could reverse a signal with enough power to destroy and ENTIRE SHIP. She is so badass, I love her.

Also, this is up super early because I had to stay home today. Why did I have to stay home today? Because the furnace crapped out and I had no heat. Painting in a 50-degree house? Nooooooot fun. It's all fixed and I still can't feel my fingers.

Anyway, for the piece itself, we get the scene riiiiiiiiiight at the end when Hera is telling the ISB people off, and her look of intense fury. The reference pics were smaller than normal, because it was a screen in a screen, but I was able to get enough detail to get what you see here. I love that she's back-lit, giving her more ominous presence and makes her expression more fierce, I also like the slightly desaturated color, makes her eyes really pop. I also learned something - Hera's lips aren't pink, they're peach! Who knew?

As always, it's the background that suffers, though. It's very simplistic, and the Ghost is little more than splotches of color - supposedly to give more emphasis on the face, but as always I could have done better. Maybe this summer I'll get more time to do only background and see how fast I can churn them out. We'll see.
