Super sculpey creature design maquette. No paint on this yet- all colored clay so far. The entire figure (from knees up) stands about 9 inches tall.Related content

Hey thats great monster ...i love the sculpey texture and that you used various sculpey colors. Do you mind to elaborate about the creating process a bit? Again really love the ravnes of this unpainted creature.

Thanks dude! Working with colored sculpey is really tricky. I normally mix a base coat with plenty of translucent Sculpey in it, then do variations as I need them by adding other colors (normally red is a big one) to that original base tone. It's a lot like painting with Sculpey and just putting tones where they are needed. A few light washes of paint and the sculpt will really pop. Thanks again!
