Hi, I noticed this tutorial and could you do this with gimp 2.8? Because im struggling very much to get the lines in a good shape as they are jerkey and i dont know what to do!

The tutorial is very outdated today - I mostly keep it for old times' sake. I'd recommend using inkscape and creating real vectors.

I don't want to offend you, but I don't know if this is allowed, i guess screenshots is copyright material....

Seeing that the drawing ponies derives from copyrighted artwork anyway, I do not see a difference. Not to mention there is this thing called "fair use." Of course I do not say people should copy someone's artwork and say it's their own. But copying artwork from screenshots is the basis of vectoring images from the show (it's not done like this, though). Many people do it and as far as I know, Hasbro couldn't care less. We do not earn money by doing it, we do it to practice mimicking the show's distinctive style to make art of our own. We hurt the company in no way, quite the opposite - we are creating tons of free advertisement. And as long as Hasbro doesn't tell us to stop - which would probably hurt the company's image, fanbase and profits - it is okay to use their art to practice mine. At least in my book.
