Description
Each "head" took about 4 hours, I have a shot of my screen while sparrow was in process ^_^ I did Edward Scissorhands first, Followed by Captain Jack Sparrow, and lastly Willy Wonka, from Charlie and the Chocolate factory... This is suposed to be comeing out JULY 15th, this summer, I decided to stick to the theme of "lots of makeup on johnny depp in wierd costumes".... mmmm Yea...
I did it for fun realy, I know theres ALOT of lil mistakes the fangirls/guys will see, XD thats ok, I wasnt exactly going for perfection, just fun.
Critique if you want though I wont be changeing them ^_^

@_@ ADASLDKFHG DUDE.
I'm seriously tripping BALLS over how AMAZING it is that you managed to make the pirate hat appear to have obvious TEXTURE. LIKE I CAN SWEAR I COULD ALMOST GUESS THE FABRIC USED. ADFKGHDKGJKH GENIUS.
( Also, for the record, I could care less about the subject. XD Looking at this from an artistic standpoint. And from that, I am BLOWN AWAY. )

So.... You make these 100% in MSP ? It's incredible... o.o But when you make these, do you start with making a palette or something? Because I just wonder: When you save them, the colors are reset, and then how do you.. like... get back on "color"-track? XD If you know what I mean...
Argh I'm not making any sense here.. *runs off*

Heres how I do it,
1) The light grey color on the pallet makes my 250x250 solid square as a size reference. I copy/paste the blue square in my journal as a reference and just flood fill it with the light grey.
2) The dark grey color on the pallet makes my sketch color. I use a wacom 3 pen tablet for sketching
3) After sketching - I use the line tool to clean up, and then detail the eyes in black (just the eyes lol)
4)I pluck some pallet colors off of MSP's pallet, by double clicking and adjusting the brightness/contrast to my ideal shade, then I Make little square ramps so I can re-use the colors later. I have like, 50 ramps on a canvas somewhere that I used to recycle over and over for dolling, now I pretty much make it all on a whim.
5) If I cant find a hue adjustment I like in MSP, Of course I cheat! I go into Paint Shop Pro 7 (I dont like any of the others) and play with it there. It tends to be easier.
Its ALOT of copy and paste, but I dont really count messing with pallets effecting the authenticity of an image created in 'msp'.
To be honest with you, The only reason I use MSP is because of the thumbnail being actual size when you zoom in. No back and fourth zoom in and out to drive you frigging batty.
That and my PSP7 is bugged, Its stuck on antialiasing so that screws up the pallet count.
Ive seen your works on Pixel joint (Im pretty sure it was you) Your pretty good! Keep it up!

Whoa, that's a big reply XD
Anyways, okay, thanks for the tips. (:
I'm not sure I'm the one from "Pixel joint", because I'm not sure I know what it is, (however I tend to register at all/many pixel-pages etc. so maybe you saw me, maybe you didn't ;D I can't tell. But thanks anyway XD)
Thank you very much for your respond, I'll try your advices and maybe get better. Who knows. I'm a slow learner... But let's see what happens (:

Haaa this is really really great. Wow. I love it
Okay I could be your typical response and say "Omg he's so hott" but really I am really just wishing I could be a female Jack Sparrow, as opposed to a Mrs. Jack Sparrow.
