Description A concept based on the famous Battle of Waterloo, with the Earl of Uxbridge, Henry Paget bringing up Heavy Cavalry against the French Cuirassiers. I havent quite finished this yet, but still wanted to put this up as June 18 2015 was the 200th Anniversary of the battle.

The detailing and energy of a battlefield feels just right, just like old master paintings!

thanks! yes itis still in progress. Basically, I got this far with the work and thought it mostly done but soon realised it still falls short of what i want to achieve with it. It is a very large piece so i am breaking it down to work on individual parts and also extend it to the left to show more wounded and more french as well as more broken up ground to indicate somoe previous skirmishing. What i want is that it is all detailed enough so that in its final large format one can focus in on any area and see what is happening in that part.Β  what means it is more mural like in the end rather than being a picture that has just one set point of view

As a gamer and war epic enthusiast, I love this perspective! My eye is lost in it Β after the first three soldiers though - Not necessarily a criticism

thanks for checking out the work!
as i mentioned in a reply above also, what i want for the picture is that it is all detailed enough so that in its final large format one can focus in on any area and see what is happening in that part.Β  what means it is more mural like in the end rather than being a picture that has just one set point of view, so i guess it is one that i am happy for one to lose their eyes in, as i want it to be something you can focus at parts in on.
