Description Started as a pencil sketch and then was further inspired by the unique music of 'Ruins of Beverast' - which also inspired the title.

In this regard i can also mention that i really enjoy doing album artwork and so if you are interested in such and think my style might be suitable - message me! cheers

i dunno what it is about this pic, but i feels it somethin hard. like some sorta primordial giger capture of an eldritch nation of metallic demon worshippers in the middle of some foul deed, rotting into rusty remains at the hands of the very evil they brought into existence...or something.

nice music choice as well, nothin helps dark art like any of the solid ambient metal bands out there, doom, black or otherwise.

good shit!

I love the impact the image has, it's striking. The first thing that came to mind was a throne. The lighting is greatly applied and I love how everything is 'merged' or more likely fused together. The symmetry is quite cool too. I didn't know Ruins of Beverast, they (he?) has an interesting sound.

cheers! I find Ruins of Beverast very evocative with the sounds and lyrics of their music (or his music - i think its just one guy)

Carmalain7 In reply to Mitchellnolte [2012-10-28 09:37:33 +0000 UTC]

It is just one guy and the man's a genius - and i'm not just saying musically - as he's apparently an established historian as well.

Mitchellnolte In reply to Carmalain7 [2012-10-29 01:41:28 +0000 UTC]

wow - that shows actually in the music - his historical perspective with just the titles of the songs - deeper than the usual names for black/atmospheric/doom metal songs - eg Mount Sinai Moloch and 50 Forts along the Rhine - but also I think Ruins of Beverast has himself great taste in music - doing a cover of a Dead Can Dance song - Dead Can Dance one of my other favourite groups - not metal but very beautiful and profound ambient music

Yeah, while usually incomprehensible, it is reflected lyrically as well; man's my hero.

If you haven't checked out DCD's new album, you definitely need to go out and buy it. I had some initial reservations concerning it, especially due to the long hiatus, but it holds up extremely well when compared to their backlog - if not one you would necessarily call a favorite.

Cheers, i have made sure to get Anastasis and I like alot - children of the sun, amnesia, opium and return of the she king and all in good time. Best of all, they are touring at the moment and so i will get the chance to see them when they come to Melbourne Australia in 2013

I left atlanta for copenhagen the day before they played there and then left copenhagen to study at the BBC four days before they played there and left the BBC a couple days before Devin Townsend hosted his Retinal Circus in London - needless to say, i need to settle the fuck down.

The symmetry reminds me a little bit about a biblical work I remember from childhood. It's got a similar aura. Granted, I prefer this one because of the changes in subject, but never the less I fudging love it. Sweet work.
