This week I learned two things about Art: First, there are no set parameters for completion of a piece. Second: the artist has no idea how the piece will actually pan out.I sat down this morning at about 11 wanting to draw another ogress but just as practice, nothing too serious. at about 1pm I was riding this wave of aggro/frustration/fear/excitement because my sketch started to become more than a sketch. I didn't want to mess it up, but I wanted to drive this baby home.
At about 3pm I decided I had enough - my eyesight checked out at about 2:30pm and I was hungry. This is the result of that furious session.
I'm going for a walk now, will come back later with an excuse for this piece.

I'd kinda like to see a whole pose with this character actually.
1. To see if she's large and strong, or slim and sexy
And
2. I think coz I've been doing my close ups range, I'm missing the idea of ever having to draw a body

Thanks! Sorry I have been away but I've been having a life re-shuffle since feb (new job, travelled to Italy for the first time, life drawing classes, etc.). I will definitely do a full body drawing of this character, now that I'm getting a bit better at body poses - she's probably gonna be strong, with generous features.
Regarding the full body issue, I got told off in my last life drawing class for not considering a full body piece instead of a portrait, I guess I gotta step out of my comfort zone
