Description
This is something I've been sketching to kill time while I design my personal website. I picked up a Sanguine pencil about a week ago and I started sketching without a particular concept or idea.As I progressed the sketch, the lady's hair grew in complexity, hence the name of the sketch.

i got mixed feelings with this one, in one side i have the amazing amazement to see how beautifully you do your faceshots i mean this nose lips and everything is really great! you do great facial stuff!
but overall, this is a deviation that shows how much good you are!
i wished i had a faceshot like that made by you!

Sorry the hair is not to your liking!! I was just going for complexity and that the most complicated thing I could think of. I'm really bad at sketching from references, but I could give it a shot if you show me a picture/sketch.

I love the individual pieces of the necklace and the criss crosses at the begining of the braids. I also think the expression and the shading on the face is very well done, and the shading on the earing. Very interesting work.

let me say I love the way the hair has ended being. I always loved braided hair because of it's complexity when you're drawing it, but sanguine helps a lot when you're sketching. You're shadowing technic is really good, and the little hair strands going out of the braids give her the definitive "real" effect. She looks like a Caribbean princess or something like that.
I almost always use blue lead pencils to do my sketches, or a very soft pencil (like a 2B)... but I save sanguina for the drawings wich I want to finish without any digital help and I always loved the result.

Well, if I find them, of course I will submit them to my gallery. The problem is that those works were for art class in high school, so I can't remember if the teacher ever returned the sheets to me. He was a very good teacher, because in just nine months I learned almost everything I know now about art, but he has a very very very bad memory.
Anyway, if I find my sanguine bars, I can do a new one
