"Yesterdays got nothing for me" said Axl Rose once...here we have an old piece I found somewhere around here with Rydia and Edge from FF4, the original pixelated teenage couple.Back in the day I used to play FF4 a lot, ignore homework, have crushes on girls that were way out of my league and pretended to enjoy Camel w/o filter hiding with my friends behind the church (smoking didn`t last two weeks and never looked back: smoking sucks!). I wanted to reflect that inmaturity with this flat, youthful manga style piece.
Yesterdays were fun, Yesterdays were stupid, back then everything felt real, but Yesterdays got nothing for me.
Edge and Rydia were (c) of Square back then...I hear Axl is still out there rocking on!

Thanks! I really went back in time for this one, as the characters from that game are giants in my inner pantheon. I had to draw my favourite couple too! they were so sweet.

You deserve it! I honestly would love to see more FFIV art from you. Edge and Rydia were my favorites too -- they were lively when they flirted with one another. It felt so real because of how they interacted with each other -- all the quips, the arguments and the playful teasing. FFIV was such a great game for its time. I'm so glad you feel the same way about it too. FFIV fans are the best.

I love this.. and the meaning behind it. It's very sweet.. I only ever played FF8 but I hear 7 is the one to play haha.. some day when I have free time and can find my playstation. In my last house there were 3 or 4 playstations stacked on top of eachother

We had 2 tvs at one point too.. one on top of the other. It was the smallest house in the world though. I don't even know how to describe it haha..but it felt a lot like home.

Well, when I moved out of my parent`s house many years ago, it was in part because I could not concentrate. It is tough to live with others, but at the same time it gets lonely when you`re by yourself.

I get lonely very easily. I haven't seen him all week and I kind of feel like I'm missing a limb but in another way maybe it's good to have been apart this week as we've been together constantly for nearly a year.
I think once you grow up it's incredibly difficult to live with your parents. Especially if you have to go back to living with them. No matter how well you get along with them. I'm great friends with my mother but if I wasn't leaving tomorrow we might start to kill eachother soon haha.. it's all about how things work in your home in your head I guess.
I always end up living with pigs haha.. and I mean real pigs. I'm no neat freak but I have some standards.. I want to live in a camper van instead. Yeah! I don't think I'm ready to settle down..

I hope you can reunite with your BF soon, I know how being alone can be tough but you get used to it in the end, I guess. At the moment I am alone, but I had my bandmate living with me for 4 days which was good and bad, but good in the end. I would like to live near the mountains...I believe that mountains are centres of power, full of wildlife and plants, fresh air and rivers. I had such a good experience in Spain last christmas in a mountain range near Madrid.

Have you been been in love many times? I'm sorry if this is too personal. Y'know this is my first love I suppose..I have nothing to compare it to.. I think this can be bad sometimes.. Maybe I put up with too much crap that I wouldn't if I knew any better.

It can be hard to live with people.. damn messers haha..but it can be great too. Being able to be content and alone is amazing but if you do it too much it's isolation really. I know how that feels too.
Here I am at nearly 6am.. I'm with my friends, everybody is wasted drunk, I'd love to be asleep but there's nowhere to sleep except the floor of this room and that's only an option if I'm drunk but I'm sober haha.. so excuse this message if it makes very little sense.
I love wild seas. I love the feeling of being on a boat crashing through the waves. To me I think the coast means freedom somehow. But I'm in love with the mountains too. In most places the mountains are mostly inland but in Ireland they are near the coast and inland things are mostly flat. I love the strange weather that mountains attract. In Switzerland this year we were camped beside a lake beside the alps and this strange wind just started out of nowhere and the air was blue and the lake turned into a rough sea. Our tent nearly gave in and for around 30 minutes it just seemed to get worse and worse and then it just stopped. How strange..

Well, I have been in love a number of times in my life. I was always in love at school, but I was really shy and I could never make a move! I remember these days fondly now, it was painful but good, being in love makes me feel alive. It`s a beautiful feeling and I personally would not let my mind interfere - I don`t mind taking it on the chin for a girl. I picked up my guitar for a girl, I moved to America because of a girl, I draw thinking and remembering girls that made me smile, made me daydream and hurt me. Love is the strongest feeling in the world, don`t be ashamed to be slave to it - but draw a line if things go wrong!!
I don`t feel lonely as I have all these people who are with me and are important in my life. I love my family too, I`m slowly getting used to expressing my affection for them

Being in love or having love for anyone is probably the most important thing we as humans can do. I don't remember the love from when I was young as much as I remember the heartbreak.

It was exciting! Storms are so powerful, make me feel alive too.. I remember once a few years back I was drinking with my fishermen friends and this storm started so we had to check the boats as they were announcing very strong gale force winds..so there we were at the very top of Ireland at the end of a pier.. and we saw one of those y'know huge huge ropes that holds down the big ferries swinging wildly across the pier in the wind so we hung on and swung on it. We were lifted off the pier with each wave, the wind was so loud that even shouts were barely audible, hair whipping, and what seemed to be endless ocean splashing our faces. This is a really nice memory for me. I think this memory feels a lot like love somehow. Because of how it made me feel alive.
