This is Patsy Walker, the Hellcat. If you don’t know who she is, here’s her origin.

A child celebrity thanks to her domineering mother who pushed her into show business and modeling. One of Patsy’s few escapes was reading superhero comic books.

Patsy eventually began resenting her fame and wanted a more normal life so she married her childhood sweetheart Robert “Buzz” Baxter, an officer in the Air Force and moved from base to base with him. When he got a job as security for the Brand Corporation, Patsy became friends with resident scientist Hank McCoy, the X-Man known as the Beast.

Becoming a close friend with Hank and helping him keep his secret of having mutated himself further by accident. Before he finally quit his post at Brand, Patsy made Beast promise to one day help her become a hero.

Patsy’s marriage to Buzz ended bitterly shortly afterwards and she decided to prove Brand Corporation was involved in illegal activities. Contacting Beast who was now with the Avengers, Patsy tagged along with them when they snuck into the Brand compound. Stumbling upon the costume of The Cat, Patsy donned the outfit and dubbed herself Hellcat and helped the Avengers defeat the evil corporation.

Trained to strengthen her body, martial arts skill and mind by the psychic heroine Moondragon, Hellcat joined the Defenders where she became a long time member of the group.

During her time with the team, Patsy met and fell in love with Daimon Hellstrom, the demonic hero known as The Son of Satan. Seemingly cured of his demonic half, Daimon and Patsy married and retired as costumed adventurers.

Patsy’s happiness was short-lived when Daimon’s demonic nature returned full force and seeing this drove Patsy insane. Committed to an insane asylum Patsy succumbed to despair and the agent of death known as Deathurge killed her.

Patsy’s soul was sent to the hell realm of the demon lord Mephisto. Daimon concocted a convoluted plan that tricked the superhero group Thunderbolts into rescuing Patsy’s soul from hell and bringing her back to life on Earth.

Alive again with a fresh start on life, Patsy returned to being Hellcat and has since helped her estranged husband Daimon protect his realm from other hell lords invading it, rejoined the Defenders and continues to be a solo adventurer striving to live her life to the fullest and redeem her past failings in life.
