Description

Probably one of my all time favorite speedster costumes ever. I always loved this underhanded, snarky prick. Whether he’s alone or in a group he’s always the show off and always making some wise ass remark while trying to get one over on his friends or enemies.

A former chemist with a criminal bent, James Sanders was given a formula to grant him super speed by the Grandmaster in order to compete in one of his contests as a member of the Squadron Sinister, an evil version of the Squadron Supreme from another dimension. James was the evil version of The Whizzer and kept the identity until he felt an upgrade was in order to differentiate himself from the heroic Whizzer from WW2 who had become active again for a while.

Sanders came up with a new costume and boosted his powers. Dubbing himself Speed Demon he quickly made a name for himself as a ruthless villain. When the Beetle offered him membership into the Sinister Syndicate he readily accepted seeing that he worked better with a team than as a solo villain.
