Description

The young child, still euphoric from the sight of his first shooting star, had no idea of the calamity that was about to strike his world. Unbeknownst to him, the "shooting star" was the first of many, and it wasn't a natural phenomenon but an asteroid sent by the swarm that had passed by Stella-1 just a few days prior.

As the night wore on, more streaks of light pierced the heavens. The child, along with others, marveled at the night sky. However, their joy soon turned to terror as the streaks multiplied and burned up closer and closer to the surface. Eventually some hit the surface. Thousand of hot particles pierced the rooves of buildings and burned up everything inside. People ran out of their homes in a panic, seeing the glowing sky lit up by the burning rocks.

Even up in orbit, Stella-1 and the people in there weren't safe. It is shielded from the small particles, but not giant chunks of rock and ice. Eventually one struck the starship with a colossal explosion, causing the massive colony ship to tremble and tilt ominously. Panic spread like wildfire among the inhabitants. Alarms blared, and evacuation procedures were initiated, but chaos reigned.

On the planet's surface, homes crumbled, and fires engulfed the settlements. People ran in all directions, desperately seeking shelter, but there was nowhere to hide.
