I adore Amphibia so far. It has an interesting world full of likable and charming characters and creative and terrifying wildlife. Anne, Sprig, Hop Pop, and Polly are all absolutely delightful and make for a very diverse and fun cast of main characters. Anne is a human girl from another world who is trying to find a way home yet is really growing to like this place. She is a strong and brave leader while being very fun loving at the same time. She is easily one of my favorite cartoon protagonists that I have seen in a long time. Sprig is a spunky and wide eyed frog child who is a great friend. Him and Anne make a fantastic duo. Hop Pop is an old frog who prefers how things were back in the day yet can be lenient enough to try new things. He is strict yet fair. Also, he seems to have plenty of hidden depth that we have yet to see. Last but not least Polly is just amazing. She has so many violent tendencies for just being a pollywog and makes for plenty of hilarious one liners. Speaking of the humor for this show it is just a laugh riot throughout with quite a few jokes making me laugh out loud every single episode. Characters like Polly, Hop Pop, and Wally are especially great at this. The animation is also really well done with the character designs and creature designs being very creative and fun. The backgrounds and music are also just gorgeous with some shots looking like they could be hung on a wall. There is also a great overarching storyline that involves the hierarchy between frogs and toads and one of Anne's friends from back home. Some of my favorite episodes from the season were Toad Tax, Prison Break, Hop Pop and Lock, Night At The Inn, Wally and Anne, Bizarre Bazaar, Cursed, Fiddle Me This, Anne Of The Year, and Reunion. The show also doesn't have a single episode I dislike yet with all of them being at least good. This is an amazing cartoon that I can't wait to see more of.
