I've been dying to see some FiM eclipse art, but all of my commission requests for it have gone unanswered. The setup for this is sweet: even if Celestia seems a bit hard-nosed to tell Luna to stick to her element, I get the feeling that she genuinely believes it's for the best of the ponies. Luna's solution to bring out her moon for a little while is a happy treat for her and all of the ponies: I'm guessing they didn't get scared because they know that "weather" always does what it's supposed to.
Now, in real life there can't be a crescent moon eclipse (new moon only), but in Equestria we know that astronomy works much differently, plus it makes it clear exactly what's going where. Also, I like the palace window designs demarcating the sisters' meeting point in the palace. Did you do full designs for that part of the background?
Oh, and the light bulb was cute. Do they even have those in Equestria? No matter.
