Description The Hale/Attack/Cargo - Model 30 'Slamfist', is a unique variant of high subsonic heavy ground attack and transport aircraft used by the Escean Air Force and Navy.

Unlike previous or comparative aircraft of this type, the HAC-30 is an amphibious plane, giving it the ability to land both on paved or water runways to refuel or rearm. Introduced in 2101, this aircraft is equipped with a tandem 'hollow delta' wing design that elimintates the need for a tail, retractable float units and overwing engines to avoid seawater ingestion. The fuselage is fitted with a knife-edge keel and blister tanks to help support the aircraft in the water.

While the Slamfist can carry up to twenty soldiers its primary role is that of a heavy weapons platform. Retractable doors on both sides of the fuselage permit internal weapons to move into position on either side if required, with the weapons themselves mounted on rails and turntable units. Slamfist aircraft are typically equipped with eight individual systems, including two fuselage and two bow-mounted 40mm Repeating Railguns, two 20mm Rotary Railguns, a 200mm KAP (Kinetic, Accelerated Projectile) Cannon, and a weapons bay built into the keel, which may hold standoff cruise missiles or guided munitions. The inclusion of forward-facing bow cannons and belly weapons bay was to give the aircraft the ability to strafe a target at high speed instead of always assuming a relatively slow and vulnerable circuit.

So it is a transport/gunship?

Yep. Cargo/Gunship/Seaplane.

ekranoplan? x3

Not quite

This one can fly at high altitude rather than simply skimming the surface. I do have a spacecraft that was based on the appearance of an ekranoplan, however .

man, this thing is armed to the teeth. and, if it doesn't work, you have 20 soldiers to drop off...

awesome job! always liked amphibious aircraft. also, ace combat inspiration much?

Thanks

Also, in a considered plot scenario, ends up dropping something a little more substantial than troops alone

Hehe. It's been a while since I played the older AC games like 5 and 0 on account of switching over to a PS3 and PS4, but I do remember that flying monstrosity from Zero. I've seen a few other works of similarity that jogged my memory and helped with the wing design.

I love the exhausts which make your craft look like a stealthy nighthawk! Great for avoiding those pesky SAMs...

Thank you

I watched a documentary on the Seamaster not too long ago and wanted a plane similar to it, but its design didn't fit what I wanted for the time period. Then I remembered the Flying Fortress from AC Zero had something slightly similar to this and went for a roughly similar wing configuration. It also matches a little with some other designs I've done, like the wings of the Kotryn.

Big winged aircraft usually have me pulling my hair out over the design, so I was glad to finally get one down that I felt carried similarity as well as futuristic tones. I've always loved the PBY, so I wanted to implement a seaplane as well.

crimsonfalke.deviantart.com/ar… I do love boxwing designs although the thing is I never thought about making one amphibious
